Wasp Control
At Freedom Pest Control, our unique approach to wasp control and nest removal typically involves a thorough inspection of the property to locate all wasp nests and assess the severity of the infestation. We will then develop a customized plan that addresses the root causes of the infestation and provides long-term control. This may involve the use of liquid treatments, exclusion techniques, and preventative measures to prevent future infestations. We always prioritize safety during the removal process and will dispose of the nest in a way that minimizes the risk of injury to people or pets.

Our Unique Approach To Wasp Control & Nest Removal Service
Wasp Nest Inspection
During a wasp inspection, we will look for wasp nests in areas where they are commonly found, such as in eaves, under roof lines, in trees, bushes, or shrubs, and near outdoor furniture or structures. We also inspect areas where food and water are present, as wasps are attracted to these resources. In some cases, the inspection may involve the use of special tools, such as cameras, to locate hidden nests.
Knockdown Nests
We will use a specialized product to knock down the live wasp on the nest(s). After a majority of the wasp have died or flew away we knock down the nest. This usually takes around 1 to 24 hours.
Kill Emerging Wasps
We make sure to tackle the source and the nest(s) to kill any emerging wasps. After our treatment they usually die within 24 hours! This will make sure that the nests are dead and that colony can’t re-infest the area.
Spray Future Nesting Areas
To spray future nesting areas for wasps, we use a residual insecticide applied to surfaces where wasps are likely to build their nests. These areas may include eaves, overhangs, and other areas of your home or property where wasps have previously built nests. The insecticide will create a barrier that will deter wasps from building their nests in those areas in the future.

After The Wasp Nest Is Removed, Will There Be Activity?
It’s possible to observe some wasp activity even after the nest has been removed, especially if there are still live wasps in the area. We will take steps to minimize this activity and prevent future infestations. Our combination of insecticides to eliminate any remaining wasps and treating potential nesting areas to deter new wasps from building nests will make sure the activity disappears as quickly as possible.
Can I Treat Wasp Nests Myself?
Removing a wasp nest yourself can be dangerous and is not recommended, especially if you are allergic to wasp stings or have little experience dealing with stinging insects. Wasp nests can be difficult to locate and remove completely, and attempting to do so without proper protective gear and equipment can result in injury or even worse. Additionally, disturbing a wasp nest can provoke the insects and cause them to attack in large numbers, which can be particularly dangerous if the nest is located near a busy area or a place where people congregate. It’s best to leave wasp nest removal to Freedom Pest Control where we have the necessary knowledge, experience, and equipment to do the job safely and effectively.
When Can You Treat My Home For Wasps?
We can usually treat your home usually within a day or two! We will have the necessary equipment and protective gear to safely remove the nest and treat the surrounding area to prevent wasps from returning. It’s important to contact us as soon as you notice a wasp nest on your property to minimize the risk of injury and prevent the colony from growing larger.
